June 18th/19th 2016
Every other summer there is tinkering going on in garages and sheds throughout the village as everyone gears up for this extremely popular annual event. Competition and rivalry for the top spot?......of course there is!
2016 saw the return of this popular bi-annual event taking place over the weekend of Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June.
As with previous years, in 2016 we worked hard to make this an exciting and well supported attraction for all the visitors that come from far and wide every two years to wander around the village marvelling at the ingenuity and effort that has been put in by the residents to create even better scarecrows than before!
This year the festival was open themed meaning pretty much anything goes, so visitors were assured of an interesting and varied mix of scarecrows to see.
Leading away from the ample parking, a Scarecrow Trail to follow around the village with refreshments on hand for when your feet got tired made for an exciting day out for children and parents alike!
